One of the reasons historic old homes are so enduring is that they are built of materials that were made to last over 100 years. In this video we have some fun showing how a tired 110 year old porch skirt is replaced with a new one fabricated from 2x4s from the hardware store. Hopefully someone in the year 2134 will watch this video so they know how to replace it again.

While viewing many homes so far this year, I have seen a lot of interesting things.  I think you will find a few of them interesting too.   This is a view of a rental unit after a tenant moved out.  At least this tenant left their trash organized in a pile on one side of the room.  It was also thoughtful of them to leave the window open to air out the space…in March…with the furnace turned all the way up…for a week.
