Courtyard Inn Motel Now a Crater

Ogden’s steady turn around continues as perennial problems are neutralized and removed from the community. A recent example is the Courtyard Motel located at the intersection of 25th Streets and Ogden Ave. This motel was constructed sometime mid-century and attached itself like a parasite to the back of the much more dignified Bigelow Hotel.
After Ogden’s economy tanked in the late 1950’s this motel served as a haven for criminal elements of the community. In 2017, Ogden City Council approved its acquisition and plans for demolition. However, demolition efforts were not started until about six months ago. Here you can see the final results.
The space is slated to become an arts plaza where local artists can present and showcase their work.
