A recent KSL article shed light on a new non-profit resource for landlords and tenants to use in emergency situations. Designed to keep otherwise responsible tenants in place by avoiding evictions, the non-profit provides emergency financial resources to tenants who have emergency circumstances. Such instances might include medical emergenciees, job transitions, or familiy crises. The spirit of the program is to offer one-time assistance to bridge a temporary gap. We recently closed on the purchase of this eclectic art deco triplex for a client. The property is located at 619 20th Street in Ogden. This was a unique transaction since we also represented the seller as a manager while they listed the property with a discount brokerage. The property was originally listed for $409,800 in late January. The building sat on the market through March when the price dropped to $399,900.
