We recently completed the lockout of a tenant who abused the eviction moratorium to avoid removal from the property. This particular tenant had unwelcome guests at the property as well as trash and other lease violations.  The eviction moratorium (and head fakes from authorities about its end date) kept us in the lurch while trying to evict them.  Finally, we were able to get them out after filing a complaint based on trash accumulating at the property. The last week of June saw a tragic loss of property on the 300 block of 28th Street. After fire fighters extingquished a blaze in the afternoon at 29th and Washington Blvd. another fire was started at massive apartment building under construction on 28th Street. The building was nearly finished begin framed at the time the blaze started.
